    Hard Cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. 290, 344pp. 7.7 inches/ 19.5cm. 2 volumes. Maroon boards, gilt titles, black endpapers, trace of old lib label on fronts, covers are well worn. Vol.1 - cracked front hinge, scrim visible, spine end bands loose, Vol.2 better, front hinge cracked, not as badly. Both volumes with ex-college bookplate & stamps. Both books starting. Contents vg, with edge browning, some foxing and some marks mainly to the prelims. Both are illustrated throughout with engravings and diagrams. Collects lectures given on various topics principally physics, with the occasional excursion elsewhere. Rare set. Privately owned since at latest, early 1950s. Weight 1.2 kg before packaging; overseas postage would require addition. (Science, Chemistry, Physics, Antiquarian, History) Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
