Original publisher's brown cloth binding with gilt lettering on front cover and spine. Small illustration of a fox terrier on front cover. 6" x 8 3/4." 191 pages, complete. Eleven black-and-white plates and seven black-and-white illustrations, complete. Index in back. Pages are very clean and intact overall. There is slight scuffing at the corner of the text block, slight age toning to pages, and a wrinkle, a small hole, and what appears to be glue residue (perhaps from a former bookplate) on front free endpaper. Covers also very clean and intact except for slight corner and edge wear, a few tiny bumps to bottom edge, a few small marks to front and back, moderate wear to head and tail of spine, and a small bit of sticker residue on spine.
