First Edition. First edition, 8vo, pp. 414, [2]; sixteen illustrated plates including a frontispiece facsimile of the first folio title page; contemporary buckram backed green cloth boards; frontispiece detached but present, else very good. The author of this book, possibly the first monograph on Shakespeare to be published in Romanian, was influential in the Romanian theater of the interwar period and a fascist political activist in the years preceeding World War II.
