Signed by Jane Addams on the limitation page. In 1889, Jane Addams co-founded a settlement house in Chicago, Illinois alongside social reformer Ellen Gates Starr. The Hull House, named after the first owner Charles Gerald Hull, served new European immigrants and provided residents with housing, food, education, and entertainment. Jane Addams was the first American woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for her work on local and federal social programs, as well as founding the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom in 1915.
