Hardcover. Condition: Good. First edition. Volume one only. Quarto. 616pp. Three quarter leather with marble papercovered boards. Pages foxed, leather is mostly eroded and worn, boards are detached, Max Whiteman's penciled signature on rear pastedown, a good only copy with a small Philadelphia library label on front pastedown, laid in is a small typed note stating "Gift 1984 Max Whiteman - If Added To Collections Please So Bookplate.".
