No Jacket. 1st Edition. blue gray hard covers and spine, lightly bumped corners and edges of spine, stamped in ink inside "State Teachers College, Peru, Nebr." 2 stamps, all pages clean and tight with no markings except as noted, double front end pages illustrated with drawings of people and objects with wording in between printed on gray pages in blue-gray ink, back double end sheets with eastern and western hemispheres pictured, back cover blank, front cover with bkack lettering for title, book series, publisher and authors and art work of a steam ship on the ocean with the sky in the background, blue white and black artwork, 13 chapters plus index, third and 4th grade reading level. Lots of black and white photos.

Hard Cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. The covers have scuffed corners, are rubbed and there is some spotting to the back board. The head and heel of the spine are frayed and worn down so that there is about 1/8 inch missing from both. There is some minor marking on the ffe and there is light soiling to the end papers and some scattered through the book. The school name is stamped in a few places in the book. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
