Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Boards largely clean but spine faded and mottled. Rubbing to spine edges and ends. Gilt titling to spine. Frontis. of author present but detached. Textblock top edge tinted red. Plain caramel endpapers. 824pp. undiscoloured + b/w plates. No markings. Loosely inserted an original group photograph marked "Durban 1938" and with a Natal Mercury rubber stamp. A very heavy and very scarce volume.
