It is bound in the original pale yellow wraps -- just a little soiled and edge-worn. 6.5" wide by 9.5" tall. First Edition. Illustrated throughout with photos and drawings. This issue revealed to the public for the first time that books published under the pseudonym David Grayson were actually written by Ray Stannard Baker. Among the bestsellers of the day with "David Grayson" identified as author were ADVENTURES IN FRIENDSHIP; ADVENTURES IN CONTENTMENT; THE FRIENDLY ROAD; and HEMPFIELD. In reality all these were written by Ray Stannard Baker. This issue also gives background on the deception and tells some amusing tales of imposters who claimed to be Grayson.
