Complete in six parts with original wrappers and "Prospect" for each part. Illustrated with 24 captioned chromolithographs in vibrant colors of ceiling- and wall decorations from the 16th - 19th centuries by various Austrian architects (* see below). Each plate accompanied by text on separate leaves. "Herausgegeben von Eduard Hölzel's Kunstanstalt und Bildhauer Reinhold Völkel in Wien. Chromolithographien nach Entwürfen und Aufnahmen hervorragender österreichischer Künstler." Printed label and written inventory number on front board. Age wear, scuffing and some staining on boards. Pulling and minor closed tears to wrappers, some repaired with gray tape on fore-edge. Stamp of "Mährisches Gewerbe Museum in Brünn" on title-page and all wrappers. Text in German. Portfolio, wraps, and prospect pages in fair, chromolithographs and text pages in very good condition.
