CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Company D, 11th Maine Infantry Regiment, was formed in the early Fall of 1861 and mustered out in Feb. 1866. Members chiefly recruited from the towns of the upper Penobscot, from Lee, Springfield, Topsfield, Enfield, Prentiss, and contiguous towns.
