Contains a 24 page memoir of the life of Thaer with a list of his agricultural writings. Chapters include Bases of Enterprise ; Manual Labour ; Draught Labour ; Manure - Fodder - Cattle ; Systems of Cultivation ; Agronomy ; The Theory of the Soil ; On Manuring the Soil , etc. A worn copy of the scarce original first volume but still in readable condition,or suitable for repair or re-binding.
