Los hechos solos hablan en su impasible lenguaje, mas exasperante que las protestas mas violentas.La historia, narrada siguiendo la linea modernista, heredera del simbolismo y el realismo franceses. Se articula en torno a la resistencia, normalmente solapada, finalmente violenta, de una comunidad aymara a orillas del lago Titicaca.
