Softcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. 180 pages (complete). In French throughout. A RARE first edition of Constant's "Papillons". Some pages are still uncut. The book is in benign and placid condition. The spine has been repaired with a leather strip. The covers have wear, tanning and rubbing from storage and age. The covers are secure and amiable. Within, there is a signature from a previous owner (Georges van Son - the much regarded etymologist at the Transvaal Museum). Black and white illustrations. The delight is to be found in the freshness, cleanliness and clarity of the pages. The illustrations are clean and very clear.
