"Nel 1835 il dottore Cesare Alessandro Bressa faceva innovare un testamento nel quale lasciava tutti i suoi averi alla Accademia delle Scienze di Torino, affinché colle rendite di essi l'Accademia desse ogni due anni un premio di dodici mila lire a chi nel biennio avesse fatto qualche insigne od utile scoperta, od opera celebre in fatto di scienze fisiche, naturali, matematiche e storiche" (wiki).
