This 2.75 x 5.625 inch, 201 page soft cover book is the 1935 edition of this dictionary with that date on the title page and with the statement -*A Laird & Lee Publication*- with their copyright 1935. This pocket dictionary was apparently made specifically for the Columbia Carbon Co. - - of Dayton Ohio and Los angeles. Their circular logo appears on the front cover with the image on the cover somewhat rubbed and subdued - - but fully apparent - - with the logo showing -*The Miracle Twins clean and good*- - - with the words clean and good written on the aprons of the twins within the logo. This copy has a previous owner?s name in gilt on the front cover - - Joyce Girard. The red cloth soft cover wrapping is in very good condition with time-wear and rubbing showing to the edges and spine but the binding is very good or better and fully secure. The interior shows bright and clean different endpapers featuring four different advertisements for the Columbia Carbon Company - - with information on their typewriter ribbons and carbon paper. Beyond that the pocket dictionary pages show no markings and the last 32 pages show rules for spelling, abbreviations, city populations, a yearly calendar index, and more. 201 pages.
