[WORLD WAR II]. As Paris was still occupied by Nazi troops, this historical poster was printed in Philadelphia in April 1944, for the provisional French government in Algeria and imported the 6 of June 1944 in the Free France by the allied soldiers. A 20 7/8 x 14 11/16 in color Litho with a crossed out swastika that is being destroyed by a hammer with the handle of the hammer having the main Allied flags : USA, UK, Russia and France . The concept beeing: "Nazis will be destroyed between the Allied hammer and the French anvil" the French expression for "between the devil and the deep blue sea". This was one of the most famous Jean Carlu French World War II posters, titled "Entre le Marteau.et l'enclume!" Printed in 1944, Beautiful Color lithograph poster promoting an Allied win during the Second World War. Published by the Republique Francaise-Commissariat a l'information in 1944 by McCandlish Lithograph Corporation, Philadelphia. USA. The liberation of Paris military battle that took place from 19 August 1944 until the German garrison surrendered the French capital on 25 August 1944. Signed in print by the artist. Condition is generally very good. Signed.
