Ella es ahora más conocido por la serie de sus hijos acerca de Conejo Gris Pequeña y Cerdo Sam.SOBRE LA ILUSTRADORA:: Margaret Tempest nació en una conocida familia de Ipswich: su padre fue alcalde de Ipswich cuando ella era una niña, su hermano Roger era Rector de Kersey cercanos, y su hermano menor de Frank, un abogado, a su debido tiempo también se convirtió en alcalde. Ella desde el principio mostró un don para el dibujo y asistió a la escuela de arte en Ipswich antes de ir a Westminster School of Art en 1914.
