Allouse, the ornithologist and author, best known for his comprehensive three-volume work, Birds of Iraq along with many publications for the Iraq Natural History Museum.

Vol III: Passeriformes. Published 1960-62. Text in Arabic. Each volume contains black and white drawings and a small number of colour plates. Slipcase with light signs of wear. Card wraps are mildly worn along the edges in all three volumes and are more heavily rubbed in Vol I; spines are creased and have small tears at the head and foot in Vols I and II; corners lightly bumped on all volumes. First page of Vol I has a closed tear and a pencil price mark; small stains from binding staples are present on the first pages of Vols I and II; pages otherwise clean and intact in all volumes. n.
