Darmès, est jugé devant la Chambre des pairs et condamné à mort le 29 mai 1841. Girod (de l'Ain) (4 Tomes - Complet) Tome I : comprenant les Faits Généraux ; Tome II : Faits particuliers de Lyon, Saint-Etienne, l'Isère, Chalons, Arbois, Marseille et Clermont-Ferrand ; Tome III : Faits particuliers de Paris, Epinal, Lunéville et Perpignan ; Tome IV : Annexes Le Baron Amédée Girod de l'Ain (1781-1847) avait déjà derrière lui une belle et longue carrière politique sous différents régimes (Empire, Première et Seconde Restauration) avant d'être nommé ministre de l'Instruction publique et des Cultes sous le ministère de Casimir Perier en 1832, puis d'être nommé en octobre de la même année pair de France et président du Conseil d'Etat. Le présent rapport au sujet des tentatives insurrectionnelles d'avril 1834 fit beaucoup de bruit et souleva les vives attaques de l'opposition. Dans ce très volumineux rapport, Girod de l'Ain rappelle que l'instruction ne visait pas moins de 2 000 inculpés et qu'il avait fallu entendre près de 4 000 témoins, examiner plus de 17 000 pièces, coordonner les investigations et résoudre les nombreux incidents qui s'étaient élevés. Girod de l'Ain incrimine les sociétés populaires, et notamment la "Société des Droits de l'Homme", établissant les preuves d'un vaste complot ourdi dans toute la France. Il reconnaît la compétence de la Cour des Pairs et énumère les charges qu'il faisait peser sur plusieurs centaines de personnes.
