Non si nasconde certo dietro un dito Jean-Christophe Ammann, curatore…della tappa nel presente dell'arte toscana del dopoguerra. Nel suo saggio introduttivo in catalogo espone concetti sacrosanti che alla luce del conformismo (e spesso anche pressappochismo) imperante suonano quasi una rivoluzione. Lo sciochezzario del dibattito sul senso dei musei, sulla funzione dei nuovi media e, soprattutto, le tante mostre inutili (Ammann parla più elegantemente di curatori e di artisti d'intrattenimento, parallelamente alla musica leggera e alla letteratura d'evasione) hanno portato all'attuale situazione di confusa proliferazione che ormai, sempre secondo Ammann, ha già superato il culmine (ovvero, intendiamo noi, il peggio è passato). E che il peggio sia veramente passato ce lo fa intendere non tanto nell'esposizione dedicata al collezionismo, improntata ad un accostamento sinergico delle opere selezionate, (indubbio il presupposto del perché un collezionista compra una certa opera: il rapporto è talmente intimo che le motivazioni ce le può svelare solo l'interessato), quanto nella ristrettissima selezione dei giovani artisti toscani. L'impatto con le sale espositive del Pecci, dove è presentato il materiale proveniente dalle collezioni private toscane, è effettivamente un po' stile "di tutto di più", ma non può sfuggire l'intimo colloquio fra il grande Crocifisso ligneo di scuola fiorentina del XIII secolo, proveniente dalla collezione Gori della fattoria di Celle, e il Pavimento di Alighiero Boetti (1967-1969), da una collezione privata di Lucca. E, l'uno accanto all'altro, artisti già storicizzati e tanti ancora del nostro contemporaneo, a riprova di come i sentieri dell'arte traccino percorsi sempre sorprendenti e troppo spesso sconosciuti. Ecco l'occasione per ammirare un bellissimo Balla del 1930 (Macchine in corsa), La partenza del figliol prodigo, tempera su tela di Alberto Savinio del 1932, uno Schifano di purezza successivamente perduta, Wharhol che ti stringe lo stomaco con la sua Like electric chair (1963) e tanti, troppi altri, tutti colloquianti di vita propria in questo banchetto dell'anfitrione Ammann. Ma dove l'esposizione ti sorprende in una sorta di caccia al tesoro su e giù per gli spazi del Pecci è nell'opera dei giovani artisti invitati. E così, tuffandoci nel lungo corridoio che ti porta in un'altra ala, arriviamo alle stanze dove ti lascia a bocca aperta il variopinto paradiso ornitologico di Andrea Marescalchi, ti turbano e ti seducono le nebbiose inquiete evocazioni di Luca Pancrazi, e prima, nel piccolo ingresso, la scoperta dei Cuori da innesto di Vittorio Corsini , e poi giù, la saletta ovale dove ti riempiono gli occhi i grandi, rigorosi cibacrome di Carlo Fei e quelli pure bellissimi di Isabella Gherardi. Già prima, nel bel mezzo delle opere da collezioni private, uno spazio improvviso di infantile poetica, con i pongo di Sandra Tomboloni, fra Walt Disney e Calimero, ma che tenerezza struggente in quell'armadio pieno di scarpine colorate. E poi, dentro e fuori il Pecci, Antonio Catelani, che si divide lo spazio sotto l'anfiteatro con Daniela De Lorenzo, fino all'ultima, segreta tappa di questo viaggio: giù giù in una sorta di discesa agli inferi (un garage? una sala delle torture o che altro?) dove invece ti aspetta Maria Novella Del Signore, ma soprattutto l'angelo di luce di Fabrizio Corneli, poesia pura che ti riconcilia con tanto "contemporaneo" che hai dovuto subire. Libro.
