Internally FINE, spine leather weak at top and bottom. Drobek was an important fishing community up through the middle of the 20th century, situated near Oslo. It is famous in Norw…ay as the officially recognized home of the Norwegian Santa Claus. This particular book was the family heirloom of an American emigrant family whose relatives hailed from Drobek. Tipped in are sheets that pinpoint the locations of family and friends/relatives homes and special people pictured in 1920's/30's photos in the book. Some modern photos of a recent trip to the town included as well. A very scarce Norwegian keepsake of historical reference and importance - family Rustad. [B163].
