    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Signed. Rebound by previous owner in cloth `and marbled covers. No DJ. Previous owner bookplate on inside front cover. Bookplate is from Professor Roger Hahn, Professor Emeritus, History, University of California, Berkeley. Bound in the book is a letter from the author (not clear who it is written to, only Monsieur), written from Toulouse in June, 1938. Book is signed on the half title page and inscribed to Aubaron Ernest Seilliere, Secretaire, perpetuel de l'Academie des Sciences. Baron Ernest Seilliere, 1866-1955, French critic and philosopher. He is best known as an opponent of romanticism and for his philosophy of imperialism. No markings in book. Pages browning but pristine. Text in French. 287pp.
