Jahrhunderts in Bren… bei Gundelfingen/Donau geboren und wurde 1528 zum Hofdiakon in Ansbach, wo er sich um die Einführung der Reformation verdient machte. Über sein Lebensende scheint keine Einigkeit zu bestehen; er starb um 1544. ADB 1 365f. - Eingehend kollationiert anhand des digitalisierten Exemplars der Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Sachsen-Anhalt in Halle und vollständig (Sign. Ung I A 203). VD16 A 2017 (nicht identisch mit VD16 A 2016). - Der Vollständige Titel lautet: "Conciliationes Locorum scripturae, qui specie tenus inter se pugnare uidentur, Centuriae duae. Andrea Althamero authore. Praeter inspersas hincinde additiones, accesserunt huic aeditioni triginta locorum bini seu paria: et negotium Sacramentorum sub finem pie ac diligenter tractarum. Additus est insuper Index sane quam copiosus, eorum quae hic tractantur". --- Einband: Schweinsleder-Einband auf drei Bünden, die Deckel auf Holz. Die Deckel mit Schließenscharnieren (ohne die Schließenbänder). Der vordere Deckel: im Mittelfeld drei Lilien-Einzelstempel, darum mehrfach gestaffelte Rahmen aus Streicheisenlinien, florale Einzelstempel und eine nicht identifizierte Rolle aus vier Köpfen. Im Abschnitt oben blindgprägt die Eignerinitialen TWW, in einem Abschnitt unten die blindgeprägte Jahreszahl 1549. - Der hintere Deckel mit identischem Aufbau (jedoch mit floralen Einzelstempeln in den Abschnitten). Trotz schöner Erhaltung der Stempel und der Rolle konnte (bislang) kein konkreter Buchbinder identifiziert werden. --- Provenienz 1.: TWW (nicht identifzierter Vorbesitzer des 16. Jahrhunderts. Von seiner Hand mutmaßlich zwei Notizen auf dem Titelblatt ("est haereticus" neben dem Namen des Autors; "vivebunt in armis N. [unleserlich] tibi" im Steg). Einige wenige Marginalien und Anstreichungen im Text mutmaßlich von der selben Hand. - Provenienz 2.: Bernd Oetter (Diplomat, 1937-2022; Exlibris auf dem vorderen Spiegel). --- Gering berieben und bestoßen; der Einband mit sehr dezenten Minierspuren; die Bindung vor der ersten Lage mit etwas zuviel Spiel; einige wenige Seiten vorne und hinten minimal fleckig; einige Lagen hinten am oben Blattrand leicht wasserrandig. Sonst und insgesamt gutes, wohlerhaltenes Exemplar.
