Figurated title-page engraved on copper with a portrait of a swedish king crowned by angels, allegorical figures, etc. Some customary foxing. A very good copy. Second edition - the first edition was printed two years before - of this summary of the history of Sweden printed by the Elzeviers. The first part, "Geographica et politica descriptio", was written by Andreas Bureus (1571-1646), while the other parts were composed by Henrik Soter (XVI-XVIIth Century).

These publications , in Latin, gave extensive historical, political and geographical information and could even serve as a travel guide.
