The play was first produced at the Abbey Theatre Dublin in April 1938. VG. This has the appearance of a typescript and may have been produced for the play in a rather limited amount of copies. Born…in Dublin in 1908, Ganly qualified as a dentist. His first play 'The Dear Queen' was produced by The Abbey Theatre in 1938. Ganley also wrote novels, among them 'The Desolate Sky' (1966). He died in 1982.
