    First edition of 15000 copies. Quarto; hardcover, with illustrated boards; 580pp., with many monochrome illustrations and 24pp. of full-colour plates. Owners' names on endpaper. Minor wear; board edges slightly worn with fraying at corners; upper text block spotted with a few scattered spots otherwise. Black illustrated dustwrapper slightly rubbed with some scraping at corners and wear on head of spine panel; wrapper now professionally protected by superior non-adhesive polypropylene film.
