Stupenda incisione su carta sottile di cm. 25,5x17 editorialmente applicata su supporto in cartoncino di cm. 42,2x30,1 in cornice di filetto a secco. Ombre al cartoncino, ma perfetta e ricca di effetti di luci e ombre l'incisione. Sotto l'incisione sono menzionate le dimensioni del dipinto originale La Calcografia Lovera dalla seconda metà dell'800 lavorò per i celebri albi della Promotrice di Torino, dal cui Album XXXV, dicembre 1876 (intitolata "Dopo la tempesta - Scogliere presso Portovenere") proviene questa incisione di .BACCALARIO (1852-1873) che qui "mostra di avere abbandonato la tecnica e lo stile di Fontanesi per il linguaggio dell'acquaforte realista. Esso, tuttavia, viene applicato un po' esteriormente - da incisore di riproduzioni - a una marina tardoromantica" (Giubbini, in lombardiabeniculturali.it) di CORSI (Torino 1829 - 1909) espose alla Promotrice fin dal 1847, con paesaggi di Normandia, Olanda ma soprattutto della Riviera ligure, talvolta delle Alpi in visioni ampie e profonde, di grandi ambizioni spettacolari, che fecero del Corsi il maggior marinista piemontese del secolo.
