Eccezionale esemplare a margini enormi rispetto alla tiratura normale in 12° (18 cm). Bella legatura coeva tutta percallina marrone con ricco decoro in oro di gusto tardo romantico ai piatti. T…itolo e fregi oro al dorso (una piccola mancanza in alto), piatto posteriore lievemente scolorito. Tagli dorati. Esemplare appartenente a una tiratura speciale a margini eccezionalmente ampi di questo lungo trattato monografico che celebra la vita e le gesta del Re di Sardegna. Composto all'alba della terza guerra d'Indipendenza, il volume è dedicato al Re Vittorio Emanuele II.
