Paperback. Condition: Very Good. How are Western, mostly secular, societies handling religion in its increasingly pluralistic and complex forms? Here, the authors study the interaction and negotiations between religious organizations and religious citizens on the one hand, and the state, the judicial system, the media, and secular citizens on the other. Religion has become more and more visible in contemporary society and is, more often than before, recognised as a public matter and not merely a private issue. As such it presents new challenges or opportunities to scholarly research and to society at large. The contributors to this volume shed light on what follows when expressions of religion meet different spheres of society. The authors explicitly point to the need to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the roles played by religion in society today. By presenting case studies, fresh perspectives and new questions they suggest that deeper knowledge is best achieved by further, increasingly nuanced interdisciplinary research. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Buch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - Religion is increasingly visible in the contemporary world as a complex phenomenon - requiring multidisciplinary research to do justice to the complexity. Multidisciplinary research is however, though lauded by many, notoriously difficult to bring to fruition. This volume takes on the challenge to bridge the gap. Contributions formulate the challenges many have faced, but few yet analysed and put into the hands of researchers concrete tools with which to set about designing and executing multidisciplinary research on religions, beliefs and religious behaviour. In an era where research funding increasingly expects interdisciplinary collaboration it provides guidance on constructive pathways and pitfalls to avoid. Contributors are: Riho Altnurme, Anders Bäckström, Lori G. Beaman, Karin Borevi, Leon van den Broeke, Valerie DeMarinis, Victoria Enkvist, Jonny Långstedt, Annette Leis-Peters, Anna-Sara Lind, Martha Middlemiss Lé Mon, Cecilia Nahnfeldt, Per-Erik Nilsson, Peter Nynäs, Margit Warburg, and Anne-Laure Zwilling.

Condition: Sehr gut. Zustand: Sehr gut | Seiten: 363 | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | In this book we have gathered a number of prominent scholars who analyze the developments of administrative law from their respective perspective. The papers were first presented at a colloquium at the Faculty of Law at Uppsala University in March 2012. The aim of the colloquium was to increase our own understanding of the processes of globalization within administrative law and to learn from each other. By publishing the papers, we hope that the knowledge gained there can be passed on to a wider group of interested scholars and practicing lawyers.

Soft cover. Condition: New. 353 pages : illustrations ; 22 cm. Transparency and public access to information work as a check on the exercise of power and the existence of corruption. In Sweden the constitutional right of access to documents is justified precisely by its contribution to democracy, the rule of law and efficiency in the public administration. The wide access to information in today's world also makes possible the publication of personal information about individuals' private life in an unprecedented way. Does this mean that the relative importance of the protection of privacy has to be strengthened at the cost of access to information? What will be the impact of the developing information and communication technology on access to information? The right of access to documents has traditionally been discussed on the level of domestic administration but when public administration is internationalised the issue of access to documents makes itself felt also with respect to international institutions. Will the right of access to information be realised with respect to international institutions and international administrative networks? If yes, or no, with what consequences? In this book we have gathered an international group of prominent legal scholars who analyse transparency from a number of different angles in time and space. The papers were first presented at a colloquium at the Faculty of Law, Uppsala University in October 2016, in order to celebrate the 250 year anniversary of the Swedish Freedom of the Press Act.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. 5, jur. dr Moa Kindström Dahlin analyserat Högsta förvaltningsdomstolens avgörande i HFD ref. 64 och doktoranden Maria Refors Legge kommenterar Högsta domstolens dom den 16 juni 2016 i mål nr T 2194-15. 140 pp. Schwedisch.
