Beelddocumenten uit de eerste helft van de jaren negentig: het Sex-boek van Madonna, het kruisgrijpen van Michael Jackson, de penisfoto's van Robert Mapplethorpe, het bodybuildersmannenpaar in het fotoboek van Herb Ritts: het zijn slechts enkele afdrukken uit een onmetelijk album van in het oog lopende beelden van lichaamskunst. Anna Tilroe bericht ons op nuchtere, intelligente manier over de onthutsende beelden die de kunst ons de laatste jaren voor ogen tovert. Net als in de wetenschap wordt in de beeldende kunst ons lichaam gesondeerd en getransformeerd. Ons lichaam is bedrieglijk, het is niet meer dan; Binnenwerk schoon, fris en gaaf.
