    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Dark brown blind-stamped cloth with gilt spine lettering and central Sydenham logo to front, sl. corner bumping otherwise no obvious faults. All edges red. Series half-title giving this as vol. XCIV + xx + 518 + (2, plate descriptions) + 9 lithographic plates, 1 unfolding, 1 full opening and coloured, 29 text figs ('woodcuts'); tanning spots verso fr. end-paper & half, title, slightly to top t.p.heavier verso t.p. and top facing p. v., continuing slightly through to p.x, then verso last p. and slightly through to end on some plates, edges facing unf. plate (the final one) all tanned as, verso plate itself patchily and heavy to recto rear end-paper with some border tanning top verso same. Covers a wide range of types of surgery from spinal to facial.Not as bad perhaps as this all sounds and in any case par for the course for this series. 14 cm x 22 cm.
