Illustrated with a frontispiece and seven plates. Collated complete. A detailed description and collection of notes from the author's time spent in their old-fashioned garden, with tips for growing and accounts of the changes through the seasons. An index to the work tipped-in to the rear pastedown. Written by Elizabeth Fowler. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and light age toning to the endpapers. Further spotting to the first and last few pages. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown, contemporary ink and pencil inscriptions to the endpapers, and a sticker to the front endpaper, with an index to the work tipped-in to the rear pastedown.
