orig. wrappers. Large folding map. (illustrator). (2),130,(14)p, 23x15cm, Cover margins waterstained.Some waterstaining to side page-edges. A 4cm chip missing from spine. A 6cm tear to the margin of the folding map. A report promoting the economic advantages of the proposed Saint Gotthard railway linking northern & southern Switzerland issued by Engineer G. Koller, Director of the Central Swiss Railways W. Schmidin & Director of North-East Swiss Railways G. Stoll. The approximately 14 kilometer-long Saint Gotthard Tunnel was not constructed until 1872-80. A 10cm tear to front exterior hinge. Heavily worn. Just Good.
