This is the original version, not the later Nelson one, published by TC & EC Jack in The Enchantment series (1927 according to the British Library) ; dark pink, probably faded maroon, spine with whitish boards, with pasted on ovel sticker - as published with title, author and illustration of fairy; also pasted on spine label (as produced) ; edges of boards rubbed, with a little of the surface rubbed off; illustrated endpapers; faded gift inscription opposite half title page (not author's) dated 1927; contents generally clean for age - just a little occasional light foxing or small brown mark on pages; last end paper has what looks like a cut rather than a closed tear, but there is no loss; scarce in this format. ; The Enchantment Series; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
