Comes with the more recent (after 1932) but much rarer orange boards with black lettering on cover and spine. Top edge of pages stained orange. Pictorial orange and white endpapers with various scenes from the Tom Swift 1910-1941 series. Victor Appleton was a house pseudonym used by the Stratemeyer Syndicate, most famous for being associated with the Tom Swift series of books. As with all editions, this comes with a glossy paper frontispiece illustrating a scene from a cited page in the book. Condition: Very Good+. Full color Very Good dj. Bottom of spine and two corners bumped. Slight foxing to page ends. Clean and tight. DJ has damage at top and bottom of each fold at spine and flaps. Spine so sunned that only the picture in the oval is visible. Front illustration bright Lists to Sky Train on copyright page, but to Giant Magnet 1932) in back ad and Giant Magnet (1932) on dj flap.
