This is the tale of Anne Gaylord and her intelligent pony, Satin and Silk. When she first found the pony, he was in shocking condition in miserable surroundings. She begged her mother to buy him for her because she knew instinctively that he was the pony for her. After the purchase, Anne patiently cared for him and built up his heath until he was thoroughly fit and ready for anything. The complete understanding between girl and pony made them great friends and they enjoyed many happy times together - exciting rides, picnics, gymkhanas and a wonderful seaside holiday. Then, one day, Satin mysteriously disappeared, but after a long search he was finally found under most thrilling circumstances. The climax was reached when Satin proved his worth in the hunting field.
