Paneled spines with gilt lettering and volume information, and moderate chipping and age toning. Volumes 1 and 3 have a loss of leather along the spine head edges. Boards have light to moderate rubbing wear and soiling along the board surfaces. Significant chipping to extremities and bumping to corners, resulting in exposed boards along the edges and corners. Volume 1 front and rear boards are detached from the spine and textblock. Volume 2 has cracking along the joints, with boards partially detached. Volume 3 front board is detached from spine and textblock and has cracking along rear joints. Textblocks have marbled end papers, light plus age toning and foxing throughout, stains scattered throughout, and gilt edges. All textblocks have the signature of a previous owner on the front free end page. Volume 1 has a bookplate with the initials "P.H." Text in Greek and Latin. Shelved in Room G.
