Hardcover. Condition: Fair-Good. First edition. Quarto. [6], VIII, 441, [1]pp. Original blind-stamped pebbled cloth, with gold lettering on spine. Publisher's logo on title page. Collection of short texts and essays in a variety of subjects destined to "inculcate sound morals and good manners: so as to aid in forming a literary taste for Hebrew lore, and to impress upon the student the usefulness of the Hebrew language." Binding rubbed along edges. Head and tail of spine chipped. Gold lettering faded on spine. Moderate soiling on endpapers. Title repaired and mounted. Binding in overall poor to fair, interior in good+ to very good condition.
