Qualche fioritura sulle carte di guardia e le pagine 15-17, leggeri difetti sui margini dei piatti (piccoli strappi e mancanze). Raro opuscolo che raccoglie alcuni componimenti di Domenico Serafino Pucci, letterato sarzanese fratello del più celebre Camillo, pittore. Cinque sono le canzoni e romanze, accompagnate da una chiosa dell'autore: L'Araldo e Florinda , La Fidanzata, I Messicani, Ludovisca. L'ambientazione è storica, perlopiù medioevale: per le prime il richiamo esplicito è alla Lega Lombarda, cui negli ultimi anni della vita l'autore dedicò un poema, e per I Messicani il riferimento è a Cortés. La seconda parte del volume è occupata dalla Ğnovella corsağ sulla tragica vicenda di Vannina d'Ornano e Sampiero Corso di Bastelica; anche questo racconto in versi sciolti, che l'autore aveva già pubblicato a Fivizzano nel 1832, è accompagnato da nota storica esplicativa (ĞTolga il Cielo che in questo componimento io voglia diffamare, come oppressore della Corsica, l'antico Senato Ligure.ğ). Non comune, tre copie in ICCU tra Livorno e Pistoia (aprile 2025). Passano, I novellieri italiani in verso, p. 247: ĞIn questo libretto, pubblicato senza il nome dell'autore, . un bello verseggiare, una locuzione schietta ed elegante, fanno godere di una lettura dilettosa e profittevoleğ; Passano, Dizionario, p. 53; Flori, Bibliographie générale de la Corse II, 10029.
