This novel is based around the period of 30,000 - 40,000 years ago, at about the period when the Neanderthals were thought to have either died out or interbred with the Homo-sapiens that were becoming the more dominant species. It has been strongly suggested that by interbreeding, the stronger human gene eventually bred out the Neanderthal race. It's also been proven by DNA that the human race obtained our immune system from the interbreeding with Neanderthals. Although some of the peoples of the world seem to have developed independently by breeding with other races, the Neanderthals survived longer than any other race on earth. It is believed that they walked the earth for up to 300 thousand years or more before the humans, or Homo-Sapiens races, took over the world's stage. I have been a little inventive within this novel that suggests how the Neanderthals could have progressed to more advanced places to live and used better weapons we give them credit for. I have thought out how they could have begun to use better weapons like bows and arrows and how to build simple huts to comfortably live in and move out of the caves. You might think my ideas are a little fanciful, but I feel that we underestimate the Neanderthal intelligence. According to biologists, the Neanderthal brain was bigger than ours by the size comparison of a snooker ball. If this is the case, then why did the Neanderthals live in caves all the times of their existence? I have proposed by simple ingenuity that certain ones were beginning to think things out and had the use of imaginary and evolutionary thoughts of invention and at some point began to live in dwellings other than caves. In my story, Cuda, the main character, has an inventive mind and is inspired by observing things that spark off new ideas and revolutionary changes for the Neanderthals to live by. I have suggested that due to an accident when his mother was carrying him as a baby, that she had a fall and thought she was going to lose him, but he survived. His mother and father were pleased when he grew up healthy and noticed there was something different about him, he had a different way of thinking. Could his mother's fall have anything to do with Cuda being different in his thought patterns? Could something like this have happened for real in the time of the Neanderthals that suddenly changed the way they lived and hunted? This is only a theory, but just as good as any others proposed. In modern day, we hear of such things happening that causes a person or child to suddenly become a genius. I have read several stories where accidents and injuries have sparked off things in the human brain that has took our technology a stage further. Genius is more common that we might think, you don't have to be a mathematician like Einstein to be a genius, even though he came up with the formula to revolutionize space and time, he was also dyslexic. I admire people like Albert Einstein, Steven Hawkins and others like them. My own genius is completely far removed from Einstein; my area is the invention of board games and imagination in my writing. I too have my own way of seeing things. My own awareness of my abilities came to the fore after I had a bad car accident when I was eighteen and rolled my car down an embankment due to black ice. It was after this that I found I became much more inventive than before, although it was present to a small degree before my accident. I have used a similar scenario in this story to bring forth such possibilities, that Cuda might have started his genius ability from Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
