This copy belonged to Bayard Tuckerman, Jr. , who was a horsebreeder, owner, rider and one of the founders of Suffolk Downs. He was also a well-known breeder whippets. This book is a candidate for either rebinding or for having the plates framed with the descriptions mounted on the back. Spine missing, but all other parts present, but covers detached, and content is separated into 3 parts. Text free of extraneous marks but with some age toning to edges. Plates clean but with age toning, and some with light damp staining, to margins (nothing affecting plates).
