Unfortunately not a pilot trainee classbook but rather a souvenir pictorial record of daily life and routine circa 1943 at Columbus Army Air Field. Base commander Colonel L.C. Mallory and staff officers are shown in b/w portrait photos but otherwise personnel are mostly shown in group photos attending to base duties. Page 63 features five group photos showing members of the 65th Aviation Squadron, a segregated unit comprised of African Americans save for its commanding officer Major C.B. McCoy (pictured separately in a sixth photo on same page).
