Published in soft back format with card cover, no publish date printed, c. 1940's. good clean interior for the age, no marks or inscriptions, excellent illustrations in both colour and black and white, cover has just very slight usage being a split to lower spine tip but good bright appearance overall for the publish date, all intact and firm.

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Oblong paperback with illustrated covers and bound with two staples. Slight rubbing to cover edges. List of titles goes up to 39. Some general wear. Very good condition.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Illustrated by Arnid Johnston (illustrator). First Edition. Larger than 4to in size; Blue cloth hardback; foxing around cover edges and wear to cloth at edges - so cover looks shabby; Internally better, with no handwriting inside; occasional scattered light foxing at page edges; contents sound with lovely colour plates of animals; maps and information on where they live and come from. A good copy; perfectly good for reading and enjoying the lovely illustrations; the cover edges are the most worn part; unfortunately the book is too large to fit in the scanner, so I have scanned a part so an edge is visible; picture only available to view on abe or our own site; ; Large 4to.
