From an obituary posted on-line: "Richard D. Thruelsen, an author and magazine editor, died.He was 81 years old. Mr. Thruelsen was the author or co-author of four books, among them ''Mediterranean Sweep, '' a collection of stories detailing events that led to the liberation of Rome, which he co-wrote and which was published in 1944 by Duell, Sloan & Pearce. From 1936 to 1962, he served as an editor for The Saturday Evening Post. He was a major in the United States Army Air Forces in World War II. He was born in Hackensack, N.J., and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania." Good in fair dust jacket. Signed by previous owner. Stamps and signatures of previous owner.
