Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Oversized hardcover with cream-colored cloth over boards, gilt lettering across cover and along spine. About 12 inches tall by 10 inches wide. Several faint patches of discoloration to covers, one small (less than 1/4 inch) tear to cloth on spine, centered on the "t" in "Artistes"; text still legible, binding of spine not visible through tear. Crown and foot of spine, each corner bumped. Title page dated 1932. Copyright page dated only 1932. Copyright page references different numbered editions being printed on different types of paper, however this copy is not numbered. 136 pages. Includes 17 page preface, 1 page of statements from artists, 108 full-page, glossy reproductions of artworks in black and white organized by artist, 4 pages of table listing page numbers. Fully in French. Pages clean and bright, especially the glossy ones on which the reproductions are printed. Tucked between final page and back cover is two pages, rather beaten up with several closed tears around the edges, toned but still fully legible, one featuring a piece of black and white artwork and the title of the book, the other featuring a small newspaper clipping in English about the book. Both glossy. Binding neat and tight. Discreet signs of binding repair along inner hinges, holding strong. Please email us with questions or to request photos.
