En estas controversias , presenta sus trabajos sobre el tema junto a otros materiales fundamentales y explica por qué llegó a las siguientes conclusiones : 1. que, lejos de ser los objetos más lejanos del universo, los cuasares van asociados espacialmente a galaxias relativamente cercanas a nosotros ; 2. que los enormes desplazamientos hacia el rojo de la luz de los cuasares no derivan en la expansión del universo, sino que constituyen más bien una propiedad intrínseca de los propios cuasares ; 3. que muchas galaxias manifiestan desplazamientos anómalos hacia el rojo relacionados con los de los cuasares ; 4. que muchos astrónomos, pese a la acumulación de evidencias convincentes, defienden aún una hipótesis errónea acerca de la naturaleza de los objetos cósmicos.
