Hardcover. Condition: Very good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very good. Jason Arthur (jacket illustration) and Patrick Kni (illustrator). 286 pages. Signed by the author on the title page. The dust jacket is in a plastic sleeve. Keith is known for his crime novels, most recently The Night Men, which The Washington Post called "one of the best" of the year. His short films have won Best Writing, Best Musical, and Director's Choice awards at various international film festivals. His previous film, Credo, was a collaboration with opera singer/actor Larry Picard, with whom he first worked on The Ship That Lies at the Bottom, Keith's 20-minute opera with original short fiction by two dozen authors, performed aboard the decommissioned lightship Frying Pan in New York City. Formerly the keyboardist for The Cosmic Debris, the spoken word and electronic music group that debuted at #1 on the New Age Voice Airwaves Top-100 as Alias Zone, he also played keyboards with the Afropop/reggae band Kadara. He has worked extensively with opera singers, combining classical voice with electronic and world music influences. His unconventional techniques for making screen musicals by recording singers live on the set without accompaniment have been the subject of several articles in Recording magazine. Jason Keltner, an electronic musician in Pasadena, California, meets Monica Gleason at a yearly arts and technology convention. During a chance encounter, Jason is able to talk Monica, a high-tech performance artist, out of her stage fright and onto the stage. While performing, she is killed by one of her stage lasers. Recently divorced and in need of a mission, Jason neglects his job and finds the killer with the help of his two best friends, his computer/electronics studio and a mysterious online stranger. With its focus on music, sound and gadgets, Show Control will be a hit with musicians, artists and computer users. "The archetype of the amateur detective is taken to a new level of wit . Snyder certainly shows control, deftness, diversity and a wealth of talent in this first effort " Mystery Scene. "A brilliantly unique and mesmerizing Its witty use of modern premise and humor make it one of those books you don't want to put down " Scott R. Garrigus, Recording Magazine. "If Gibson is the Gibson of cyberlit, then Synder is the Fender " Buck Dharma, The Blue Oyster Cult. First Edition [Stated], First Printing [Stated].

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. This is pretty much a textbook examining the evidence of previous humans, focusing particularly on anatomy, going back to the earliest evidence known at that time. The author was closely involved in evaluating the Piltdown Man remains (shown on the front cover of the book) and used these remains, that turned out to be fraudulent, to support the European origin of humans. This volume is inscribed to Morley Roberts, an English novelist, and a signed photograph of Kieth in his lab measuring skulls is pasted inside the cover. Spine faded and top and bottom show wear; rear hinge split but holding. Newspaper article by Warren R. Dawson on "The Earliest Londoner" pasted in last pages of book. Inscribed by Author(s).
