Assumed First Edition. the pages are numbered from 114 to 790, there is a part of Captains Courageous starting in chapter 1 running from p 668 to 684 to be continued in the next issue, there is a full page, color lithograph of a lady dressed in the style of the day sitting on a bench, there are many English articles about their way of life and news, the book and contents are clean na dtight, the covers ae tight and have some light scuffing and edge rubbing.

Book has some modest fraying at top and bottom of spine, some light edgwear, binding is quite shaken but still holding (binding cracked in two places). otherwise a decent copy. Front map is sharp, second map has some small tears and foxing to edges but is very clean otherwise. Pages are clean.
