Shiny black cloth with brilliant gilt lettering on spine and front cover; lower corners slightly curled in; front cover top right corner has a 1" crease on the diagonal (with diminishing echo through p. 40), but the corner tip itself is still sharp); top left rear cover corner has a 3/16" small crease, but, again, corner itself is still essentially sharp; a tiny crease on inside rear cover bottom left corner (not appearing on outside), associated with a waviness for text block across lower fore-edge (echoes with diminishing echoing from rear cover forward through p. 69 (the wiggle appearance on the bottom of the fore-edge is so minute and uniform that it suggests that the flaw might have been incurred during book manufacturing--NO impact upon the text itself); a bit of small foxing speckles on fore-edge, less on other edges; spine ends very slightly pushed in: describes much worse than it is, but there you have it. Medium gray, speckled dustwrapper not price-clipped (no , with title lettering in light gray across top third front cover, subtitle and author name across upper and lower middle front cover, respectively, publisher name across bottom front cover; spine and rear white cover toned, but all lettering on spine, toned, still sharp and distinct; slight rubbing wear across spine ends (piece of tape across inside top spine (NO corresponding browning through to outside dw: now in Brodart mylar which forgives these tansgressions graciously. Strong binding; previous owner name and purchase date, Ronald Stahl (1952), on ffep; purchase slip from 3 24 52 laid in. Evidently, Stahl was a Philosophy Professor at the University of Connecticut (Storrs) at the time. Despite imperfections, a solid copy. Unmarked.…
