The document states The Treasurer of the Republic of Texas will pay to Seth Marvin or order, Seventy Dollars, Sixty six cents, out of any Money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. The document is partially signed by Marvin on the verso; he was a soldier in the Texas army. This was autographed just six months after the Republic of Texas was established. There is a small loss on the left margin.
